timberland bromilly Hunt continues for Lower Paxton bank robbers
Lower Paxton Twp. police released surveillance photos showing one of two men being sought in connection with the Friday robbery of the Commerce Bank in the 4300 block of Linglestown Road.
The photos, released Saturday, show one of the men emptying money from teller cash drawers. and one of them jumped the bank counter and put money from the cash drawers into a bag.
A weapon was never displayed, but police said the men’s words and actions implied that one or both possessed a weapon. No one was injured, police said.
Shortly after the robbery, township police found a black Plymouth Breeze, unoccupied but running, about two blocks away from the bank in the 2100 block of Sycamore Drive. The vehicle was reported stolen in Penbrook and police said it fits the description of the getaway vehicle.
Police described both suspects as about 6 feet tall and said one was heavyset and wearing a red or maroon ski mask and the other had a medium build and wore a black ski mask.
The man that jumped behind the counter was wearing a dark gray or black parka with fur around the hood and gray sweat pants and sneakers. The other man was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, jeans and tan Timberland boots, police said.
